NOTE: THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE OUR SUMMER BOD MEETING TO BE HELD ON THURSDAY JULY 17TH AT 6:00PM. LINK TO FOLLOW
Please see below documents of interest and for upcoming meetings.
Please visit our web page often to get the latest info at chapmanbeach.org The most up to date times of meetings and events are posted along with invitation links to attend our meetings via ZOOM. Agendas along with important information for upcoming meetings are also available and accessible on the Home page under 'Important Info'. Along the top of the Home page is a banner for ‘pull down’ pages for much more information.
On the front page toward the bottom of the page you can find a link to see all email communications between the Board Members. This is an effort to be fully transparent in our communications at all times.
One of the more important items on the banner is the ‘Contact Us’ pull down feature. By clicking this item you can ask the Board a question, make a suggestion, or report a potential problem. When you submit a ‘Contact Us’ message it will go to our gate keeper and be distributed to every board member. It will not be viewed by the public in the ‘Shared Email’ site as it had been in the past. We have found that some of our members did not want their comments or subject matter shared with the public so all messages will be held in confidence.
We would like to ask that if you have an item you would like to be discussed at a quarterly Board of Directors Meeting, please submit it through ‘Contact Us’ feature 10 days prior to that scheduled meeting. That will allow us to get your item on the agenda, be prepared to discuss that item, and by having that item on the agenda it will assure addressing it as a priority over other public session comments as our meetings are limited to 2 hours.
We also are trying to utilize our District of Chapman Beach Face Book page to get out more information. This page is informational only. We have made a conscious decision to provide as much helpful and factual information to our members as we possibly can on our website and our Face Book page, but, we will not provide a place for unchecked back and forth dialogue.
TAKING ORDERS NOW. USE 'CONTACT US' TO PLACE AND ORDER.

YOU MUST DISPLAY YOUR BEACH PASS WHENEVER YOU VISIT THE BEACH. ONE PASS FOR YOUR GROUP IS SUFFICIENT.
PLEASE USE THE 'CONTACT US' FREATURE TO REQUEST NEW PASSES
For this to benefit our beachgoers all kayaks must be racked to maintain the extra space on the beach. When placing your kayak in the rack it must be upside down so as not to fill with rainwater and damage the rack. Thank you for your cooperation.
PLEASE GO TO THE 'CONTACT US' BUTTON TO REQUEST A NEW STICKER FOR YOUR WATERCRAFT. THIS NEW 'IF FOUND' STICKER IS FROM THE CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY AND EVIROMENTAL PROTECTION (DEEP) AND IS MEANT TO DISPLAY YOUR PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION.
SHOULD YOUR WATERCRAFT DRIFT OUT INTO THE SOUND AND BE FOUND UNMANNED THE COAST GUARD CAN CALL TO SEE THAT YOU ARE SAFE, OTHERWISE A COSTLY SEACH AND RESCUE WILL BE INITIATED.
WE WILL ASSIGN A DOCB REGISTRATION NUMBER TO WRITE ON THE STICKER ALONG WITH YOUR INFO TO SHOW YOUR WATERCRAFT IS REGISTERED WITH US. WITHOUT THIS REGISTRATION YOUR WATERCRAFT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE KEPT ON THE BEACH.
THE TOWN OF WESTBROOK IS PRESENTLY WORKING TOWARD MAKING THE USE OF THESE STICKERS A TOWN ORDINANCE.
